The Upper East Regional Minister, Donatus Akamugri Atanga, says the contractor working on the Chuchuliga–Sandema road, MyTurn Construction, has not yet returned to site after the Christmas break.
Speaking at his first press soiree, Atanga said construction would resume once the contractor returns.
His comments were in response to a question from a journalist.
“The contractor for the Chuchuliga–Sandema route — I am reliably informed by my honorable MCE — said he spoke to him, and he will be back on site at the end of this month. He has gone for his Christmas holidays and is not back,” Atanga said.
The comment has drawn reactions from residents and regular users of the road, who say the contractor left the site shortly after the FEOK celebrations.
