The Upper East Regional Football Association (UERFA) Division Two Middle League playoffs have kicked off at the Winkogo Technical Centre, with six clubs competing for a single slot in Ghana’s National Division One League.

Paga Crocodile Stars, Bolga Soccer Masters, Berekum City, Navrongo Liberty Stars, Samba Stars, and Zorkor Sporting Club have all qualified for the high-stakes tournament after emerging from a competitive regular season.

The Middle League marks the final stage of the regional campaign, where teams battle in a round-robin format for promotion. For many of the clubs, the competition represents years of investment in player development and strong community backing.

Matches are being hosted at the Winkogo Technical Centre, a venue known for supporting football development in the region. The playoffs are expected to attract fans from across the Upper East Region.

Each team brings a distinct style of play into the competition. Paga Crocodile Stars are noted for their physical strength, while Bolga Soccer Masters rely on tactical discipline. Berekum City enter as a defensively organized side, while Navrongo Liberty Stars are known for their attacking approach. Samba Stars add creativity in midfield, and Zorkor Sporting Club have built a reputation for resilience.

With only one promotion slot available, competition is expected to be intense, as every match could determine which team advances to the national level.

At the end of the tournament, one club will emerge to represent the Upper East Region in the Division One League.
