The Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Bolgatanga Central, Martin Ayamga, has confirmed that Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo has paid the nomination fees and four years’ dues for all branch executives in the constituency.
Speaking after receiving a cheque from the MP at the party office on May 4, 2026, Mr. Ayamga said the gesture fulfills a pledge Mr. Adongo made during his recent tour of the constituency.
“I am Martin Ayamga, the constituency chairman for NDC Bolgatanga Central. This morning, the MP was in the office to redeem a pledge he made to the people of Bolgatanga Central. This has to do with the payment of nomination forms and dues,” he said.
According to him, the MP made the commitment during a five-day tour to unveil projects across the constituency.
“For five days, he toured the constituency to unveil projects he has executed. In all the areas we visited, he told the people he would foot the full cost for all the executives as a result of the hard work they have done for the party and for him,” Mr. Ayamga said.
The chairman disclosed that the payment covers 1,332 branch executives across 148 operational branches.
“We have received the full amount in a cheque. It covers the nomination form, which costs GH¢20 per person, and dues of GH¢96 for 48 months, making four years’ payment,” he said.
He explained that although four additional branches have been created, they are not yet operational.
“For now, we are dealing with 148 branches. Each branch has a nine-member executive committee, bringing the total to 1,332 branch executives. As I speak, we have received the full cheque from the MP,” he added.
Mr. Ayamga also noted that the MP’s intervention made other support unnecessary. “I was approached by Friends of Prosper to take up the payment for this same exercise, but I informed them that the MP had already settled it. So, there was no need for additional support,” he said.
He emphasised that the payment was solely funded by the MP. “This is solely sponsored by the MP in recognition of the hard work of the executives,” he said.
