The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for Bolgatanga Central, Martin Ayamga, has disbursed funds received from MP Isaac Adongo to all 27 ward coordinators for onward distribution to branch executives to facilitate the payment of dues and filing of nomination forms.
The disbursement took place at the party office and was attended by all 27 ward coordinators and other constituency executives.
“This evening, I’m here to formally present money that was donated by the MP through a cheque to be given to the branch executives,” Mr. Ayamga said.
He explained the role of the ward coordinators in the process.
“We have representatives and leaders of the party that we call ward coordinators, and they will take this money and, in turn, assist the branch executives to pay their dues and pick their nomination forms,” he said.
Mr. Ayamga noted that the cheque issued by the MP had already been processed.
“The cheque had matured and we have drawn the money, so today we are presenting the money to the ward coordinators to go back and assist the other executive committee members to duly register for the upcoming branch elections,” he stated.
He stressed that the MP’s directive was for the funds to reach all branch executives without exception.
“The MP added that this money should be given to all branch executives. That is the instruction, and all coordinators should play their part and do their best to make sure that the money gets to the right people,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the MP and constituency executives, Mr. Ayamga formally handed over the funds to the ward coordinators for distribution across the various electoral areas ahead of the upcoming branch elections.
The ward coordinators, after receiving the funds, expressed gratitude and pledged to ensure that every branch executive benefits from the support ahead of the elections.
