The Upper East Regional Director of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Chris Amponsah Sackey, has reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting businesses in the region to improve product quality and strengthen their competitiveness on international markets.

He made the remarks during the second quarter meeting of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) in the Upper East Region.

Mr. Sackey said many local industries have strong potential but require strategic support in product development, packaging, branding, and marketing to meet global standards.

According to him, GEPA is focused on empowering local manufacturers and entrepreneurs to take advantage of available export opportunities.

“Our doors remain open to businesses that are ready to improve their products for the export market. We are prepared to equip industry players with the needed skills and support,” he said.

He added that the Authority remains committed to working closely with industry stakeholders to strengthen export capacity in the region.

Mr. Sackey, who was once the regional director of the Ho Zonal Office of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, said he was already familiar with AGI operations and expressed readiness to collaborate with the association in the Upper East Region to promote industrial growth.

The meeting brought together members of the Association of Ghana Industries, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss strategies for strengthening industry growth and expanding export opportunities in the region.
