Madam Adwoa Asotia Boakye, Upper East Regional coordinator of the Ghana Social Opportunity Project (GSOP), has urged members of the various communities in the region to co-operate with the GSOP group to enable them operate successfully.

The project is a World Bank funded project within the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

According to her, the project is being implemented throughout the decentralized structure in the country and if well implemented would alleviate poverty to a very large extent in the communities.

Madam Asotia said, though the project is a laudable one, people in some communities of the Upper East Region are not willing to co-operate with staff who work  under the project for its smooth implementation.

She appealed to the districts to have the interest of their people at hand because they are at the Assemblies to serve them.
