Fawzia Abagnamah donates Ghc30,000 towards brain surgery of NDC Talensi Branch Women’s Organizer

The Upper East Regional Women Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah, has donated GH¢30,000 to support the brain surgery of Mercy Apana, a Branch Women Organizer of the party in the Talensi Constituency.

The donation follows an appeal by the family of Madam Apana, who requires GH¢114,000 to undergo surgery for a brain tumor.

Presenting the cash support, Madam Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah said she was deeply moved by the condition of the party activist and felt compelled to offer assistance towards her treatment.

She noted that the donation was intended to help ease the financial burden on the family and contribute to efforts to save the life of Madam Apana.

Madam Fawzia expressed hope that the surgery would be successful and prayed for the speedy recovery of the Talensi Constituency Women’s Organizer.

“I was touched by the condition Mercy is going through and felt it was important to support her in this difficult moment. We pray that God grants her healing and strength as she prepares for the surgery,” she said.

She further appealed to benevolent individuals, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and well-wishers to support the fundraising efforts to enable Madam Apana undergo the life-saving procedure.

According to the family, an amount of GH¢114,000 is needed to cover the cost of the surgery and related medical expenses.

Family members who received the donation expressed gratitude to Madam Fawzia for the gesture, describing it as timely and a demonstration of compassion and solidarity.

They also joined the call for public support to help raise the remaining amount required for the surgery.

Madam Mercy Apana has served the NDC in the Talensi Constituency as a Branch Women Organizer and is said to have been actively involved in mobilizing women and supporting party activities over the years.

The donation by the Regional Women Organizer is expected to boost ongoing efforts to raise the funds needed for the surgery and give Madam Apana a chance to receive the medical treatment she urgently requires.
