Johnson Ayine has filed his nomination to contest for the position of Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Ayine, from the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, currently serves as a member of the NPP Upper East Regional Communications Team and previously served as Deputy Regional Communications Director.
He is contesting under the campaign theme, “The Elephant is Moving, NPP Stronger Together for a Better Upper East,” with the slogan “Selfless and Dedicated Service.”
Mr. Ayine said his priority is to strengthen the party’s communications machinery through improved research-based communication, capacity building for communicators, enhanced welfare for members of the communications team, and the recruitment and mentoring of new communicators, particularly from the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) and the grassroots.
He also pledged to promote unity within the party and improve public engagement by communicating the NPP’s policies and activities more effectively across the Upper East Region.
According to Mr. Ayine, effective communication will be critical to rebuilding the party and positioning it for success in the 2028 general elections.
His nomination adds to the growing number of aspirants seeking regional executive positions as the NPP reorganizes its structures ahead of the next national elections.
