Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Peter Ayinbisa, has returned to active politics after spending nearly three months in hospital following a house accident.
Speaking on A1 Radio, Mr. Ayinbisa described his recovery as an act of God and said he was ready to resume work to help the NPP return to power.
“It’s been close to two months, three weeks since I left this region. But thanks be to Almighty God that I am back. I’m very happy and grateful that I’m back once again,” he said.
Mr. Ayinbisa said he continued to monitor political developments in the Upper East Region, including the NPP’s recent constituency elections, while receiving treatment.
Reflecting on his recovery, he expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, party supporters and well-wishers who prayed for him and supported his medical care.
“I thank God, who thought it was not yet my time. He has spared my life because there is still work for me to do,” he said.
He also thanked several party leaders who visited or supported him during his admission at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, including former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Upper East Regional Chairman Anthony Namoo, Regional Secretary Figo, Daniel Kwame Garba, former metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives led by Williams Adum, and Dr. Moses Atinga.
Mr. Ayinbisa was admitted to the Tamale Teaching Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a house accident.
Now recovered, he is seeking another term as the NPP’s Upper East Regional Communications Director. He will contest the position against Johnson Ayine and Dr. Samuel Akongo in the party’s upcoming regional elections.
