Johnson Ayine Apasinaba, an aspirant for Upper East Regional Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accepted the outcome of the party’s regional elections and urged his supporters to remain calm, united and committed to the party.
Mr. Apasinaba, in a message following the elections in Bolgatanga, said the decision of delegates must be respected, describing the exercise as a democratic process through which party members chose their regional leadership.
According to him, the delegates are the legitimate custodians of the right to elect the party’s leaders and have made a decision that is binding on members of the NPP.
He congratulated the newly elected Upper East Regional executives and prayed for God’s guidance and wisdom as they begin their mandate.
Mr. Apasinaba also thanked delegates from across the Upper East Region for travelling to Bolgatanga to exercise their democratic right and participate in choosing the party’s regional leadership.
He expressed appreciation to individuals who believed in his candidature and supported him in various ways throughout his campaign.
Mr. Apasinaba particularly urged his supporters to remain united despite the outcome of the election and continue working in the interest of the NPP in the Upper East Region.
He also thanked his media colleagues and other well-wishers who supported and encouraged him from the time he declared his intention to contest until the conclusion of the elections.
Mr. Apasinaba thanked God for what he described as a successful and peaceful election and wished the newly elected executives, members of the NPP and Ghana God’s blessings.
