Starlets edge past Niger to book a place in AFCON U-17 final

Ghana’s Starlets edged past Niger to book a place in the final of the ongoing U-17 Afcon tournament held in Gabon.

The game ended in a goaless draw at the end of ninety minutes and had to be decided by penalty shoots which Ghana won by 6-5. 

The Black Starlets who have had an impressive campaign in this competition scoring nine goals in two matches await the winner in the Mali and Guinnea game for the final to be played on Sunday.

Ghana is hoping to win the competition for the third time.

Meanwhile, the Starlets have already qualified for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India.
