Father of football star, Sulley Muntari has passed on after battling illness for some weeks.
Alhaji Muniru previously coached Nigerian side Kano Pillars in Northern Nigerian where Muntari was born.
Alhaji Muniru is known to be the backbone behind his sons, Sulley Muntari and Sulley Muniru who have excelled in their various careers in football. Alhaji Muniru will be buried according to Islamic tradition.
