Individuals or community members who may have plans to establish community day senior high schools in the Bongo district may have to change plans because the district assembly has placed a ban on the establishment of more of such educational institutions in the area.
The desperate move according to the district chief executive, Peter Ayinbisa is aimed at sustaining the over seven community day senior high schools in the district with very low enrollments and lack of infrastructure.
Speaking on Reporters’ Visit on A1 Radio last Friday, the DCE lamented over how such schools put pressure on the scarce resources of the assembly.
Immediate past district chief executive of Bongo, Alexis Adugdaa Ayamdoo during a sod cutting ceremony of the Azeem-Namoo Community Senior High School in the district said the school which was then managed by community members was absorbed by government.
But the Mr. Ayinbisa said the school has not been absorbed and such announcement by his predecessor and erstwhile administration was based on propaganda and is deceptive.
