A former DCE of Bolgatanga, Epsona Ayamga has said one of the things that is so embarrassing in his life is to be driving on the streets of the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga.
According to him, due to the fact that traffic lights have not been working, drivers take advantage and insult whoever makes a mistake to move when they are all supposed to stop for other to go hence making so embarrassing for elderly ones like himself.
“I feel embarrassed each time I’m driving on the streets of Bolgatanga because you don’t know when to move and when to stop. So If you move and you are not supposed to, some driver will insult you regardless of who you are and that is embarrassing,” he said.
Epsona Ayamga who was speaking to A1 Radio’s Samuel Mbura said it was unpardonable for the streets of the regional capital to be left for a whole year without functioning street lights and traffic lights.
Epsona expressed worry over the number of death which could have been avoided if traffic and street lights were working. He indicated that leaders of the region should swallow their pride and seek advice on how to develop the region rather than being proud to the detriment of the region.
