Sandema: Armed robbers kill cattle dealer

Residents of Kaldiisa, a community near Sandema in the Builsa North District of the Upper East Region were thrown into a state of mourning Saturday morning February 13, 2021 when they found the lifeless body of a cattle dealer suspected to have been killed by armed robbers.

Confirming the killing of Asichak Anak to A1Radioonline.com, Acting District Chief Executive of Builsa North, David Afoko, said the news about the deceased got to him this morning and immediately he and the police went to the scene and the body was conveyed to War Memorial Hospital in Sandema for autopsy.

According to the DCE, the police discovered an Ak47 raffle pellets at the scene while the body of the victim was soaked with blood. His motorbike was also found at the scene.

Mr Afoko narrated that the victim who hailed from Kobdema near Sandema left home at dawn and was traveling to Katui, a neighbouring community in the district when he was attacked and killed.

He said the police have started investigation into the incident.

This comes a day after traders were robbed at gun point on the Chiana and Sandema road in the same Builsa North District.
