Communications Command of Economic Freedom Fighters League of Ghana (EFFG), John Koomson has lambasted the New Patriotic Party-led administration as a lazy government that fails to improve the quality of life of ordinary citizens.

According to him, the President and his team since assuming office have failed to improve the livelihood of the ordinary Ghanaians yet continue to borrow a lot of capital from the international bodies for personal enrichment.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio Mr. Koomson who identified himself as a member of the #fix the country social media movement, slammed the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta for giving “lazy excuses” at the press conference organized by the Ministry of Finance on 9th May 2021.

He said the finance minister at the presser failed to address the predicaments of the Ghanaian masses and was rather interested in evoking emotions from Ghanaians to accept the norm of the day.

Mr. Koomson also recounted that one of the reasons he is disappointed in the current administration was based on its failure to see the growing crying of the masses about the economy as a national issue instead of a political one.

“This government has failed to see the needs of the ordinary Ghanaians. All that we are saying as the youth of this country is we are suffering, prices of commodities have gone upward. The economy is failing, living conditions of the ordinary Ghanaians is high. We can not buy common foodstuffs. They should fix the country for us. They should not see our demands and actions to be a political tip-off. We as youth have grown past political parties deceptions.”

Mr. Koomson however insisted that politicians should not put politics on their demands as they are bent on putting the right authorities in place to fix the country.

The Economic Freedom Fighters League of Ghana is an a-political movement that seeks the welfare of Ghanaian youth in every aspect of life.
