The Member of Parliament for the Builsa South constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr Clement Abassinab Apaak has donated to the Ghana Ambulance Service in the area.
The donation aims to motivate the workers as well as the Service to continue serving the people in the area.
The donated items include four (4) new tyres and five (5) student mattresses.
Speaking shortly after the donation, the MP noted that the ambulances under the government’s One District One Ambulance programme have never functioned to their full capacity due to the lack of tyres and a myriad of other petty problems.
Dr Apaak, therefore, assured the personnel that he will continue to offer any support needed to make their work more efficient and effective in the area.
Appreciating the gesture, the Officer-in-Charge, Abdul Fuseini said, the Ambulance Service used to manage with only the old tyres to continue serving the people.
The situation they added could not offer them the opportunity to make long-distance travels. The timely intervention from the MP would go a long way to enhance their service in the district.
