Customers of DKM Microfinance in Bolgatanga have resolved to petition the Upper East regional minister and some other recognized institutions including the regional police command over the suspension of payment to customers by the company.

Some angry customers who spoke to A1 radio’s Day Break Upper East said they did not understand why the company is failing to pay them their principal deposits after given the green light by the Bank of Ghana.

The company suspended operations in the Bolgatanga branch on Tuesday over technical challenges and is expected to resume operations on October 14. The livid customers said this decision by the company to suspend operations was not communicated to them in time.

Since DKM Microfinance officially commenced payment to its aggrieved customers on September 22 2015, it has been faced with huge challenges. Most customers who spoke with A1 radio said, it is unfortunate that DKM Microfinance is now treating them as beggars, in the name of trying to access their investments from the company.

The aggrieved customers have threatened to seize buses belonging to the company if they do not get their monies in time.
