Officers at the Ministry of National Security in charge of the “See Something Say Something” campaign, Madam Akosua Ntim Sekyre and Mr. Kester Osei, during a recent engagement on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, emphasised the importance of collective citizen support in preserving the security of the country.

They called on citizens to be vigilant at all times and promptly report any suspicious or unusual activities in their communities.

Expressing gratitude to the communities for their commitment to national security, Madam Akosua Ntim Sekyre stated, “We are visiting the communities to appreciate them and let them know their role as citizens in protecting the security of our country.”

Stressing on the need for attentiveness, she added that, “We encourage that we should not overlook things. Be vigilant at all times and be able to spot things which are unusual in your community.”

Mr. Osei further emphasised the importance of providing detailed information when reporting suspicious situations.

He stated, “As part of the campaign, we encourage that if you see something, just put in details and be able to describe the suspicious situation or person so that the security institution can get an impression that will help in the investigation. This is one of the things we are really embarking on—to be able to be vigilant and to see beyond the regular.”

The “See Something Say Something” Campaign, introduced by the Ministry of National Security, aims to encourage citizens to actively report any suspicious happenings in their communities, thereby enhancing national security measures.
