The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central Constituency, Simon Aworigo, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving road infrastructure in the township, describing the construction of inner-town roads as a top priority for the area’s development.
In an interview with A1 Radio, Mr. Aworigo disclosed that he is actively lobbying for the construction of at least 10 kilometers of inner-town roads in Navrongo to address long-standing concerns about the deteriorating road network.
“Navrongo inner-town roads are necessary, and I’m lobbying seriously to get those roads done,” he stated. “One thing about me is that I always want the results first, but I must say the growth of Navrongo is dear to my heart, and I will not disappoint in honouring that.”
Mr. Aworigo emphasized that although he prefers to speak only after concrete results have been achieved, it is important to provide residents with some level of assurance regarding ongoing efforts.
He explained that upgrading the roads would ease transportation within the township, improve access to businesses and public services, and boost the overall image of Navrongo. The initiative, he said, is part of his broader development strategy for the constituency.
“Infrastructure development and human capital growth are the two key pillars of my vision for Navrongo Central,” Mr. Aworigo added.
His renewed focus on roads comes as constituents continue to call for improved infrastructure, particularly in the wake of previous delays and stalled projects, including the incomplete Navrongo Youth Resource Centre.
