The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Bolgatanga Girls’ Senior High School (BOGISS) has made a significant donation of items worth ¢26,490 to support the school’s 2025 Speech and Prize-Giving Day celebration.
The donated items include bottled water, assorted soft drinks, and a bull, all aimed at contributing to the successful organisation of the event.
Speaking on behalf of the PTA Chairman, Professor Albert Luguterah, Vice Chairperson Alhaj Ibrahim Bamporimbu Saeed expressed the parents’ commitment to the growth and well-being of the school. “The parents deem this day very important, and as concerned parents, we have decided to offer our support,” he said.
Alhaj Bamporimbu Saeed emphasised the PTA’s continuous support to the school, stating, “Over the years, we have been very supportive to the school in our little way, and this support will not be the last.” He stressed the importance of parents contributing to the school’s development to ensure better education for their children.
Receiving the donation, Headmistress Gifty Ayamba expressed her joy and gratitude, describing the gesture as “impressive.” She noted that the donation comes with great expectations from the teachers and pledged to work with her team to meet those expectations and provide the best possible education for the students.
“The parents’ donation is not just a donation but a vote of confidence in our ability to deliver quality education. To whom much is given, much is expected,” Mrs. Ayamba said. “We will not disappoint them, and we will continue to strive for excellence in all we do.”
