The Upper East Regional branch of the National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) has donated four standing fans toward the successful organization of this year’s Regional Farmers’ Day celebration scheduled for Friday in the Talensi District.
The items were presented to the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) during a brief ceremony.
Speaking after the presentation, the Upper East Regional Chairman of GNAFF and National Deputy Organizer, Mohammed Shaibu Ayamga, said the gesture reflects the association’s commitment to supporting activities that honour the hard work and resilience of farmers across the region.
He noted that Farmers’ Day remains a significant national event that celebrates the contribution of farmers and fisherfolk to Ghana’s food security and economic development.
“This is our small contribution to ensure the smooth organization of the event. As farmers ourselves, we believe in supporting initiatives that uplift our members and recognize their sacrifices,” he said.
The Regional MoFA Director, Alhaji Zakaria Fuseini, who received the items on behalf of the organizing committee, expressed deep appreciation to GNAFF for the support. He described the donation as timely and a demonstration of the association’s dedication to strengthening agricultural development in the region.
He further assured GNAFF of enhanced collaboration between the two institutions in future programs, particularly in advancing the welfare of farmers.
Also present at the ceremony were the Regional Women’s Organizer of GNAFF and other executive members.
The association used the occasion to thank its members across the region for their continuous support and solidarity.
