The Upper East Regional Women’s Organizer, Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah, has donated food items to Muslim women in Namoo in the Bongo District to support them during the Ramadan fasting period.

As part of activities marking Ghana’s Independence Day celebration, Madam Abagnamah supported about 200 Muslim widows in the community with tea, sugar and milk to help them observe the holy month of Ramadan.

“In this holy month of Ramadan, may Allah forgive our sins and accept our ibadah,” she said.

The items were distributed to Muslim women in the community to ease the burden on families during this important spiritual period.

The women expressed profound gratitude to Madam Abagnamah and the leadership of the party for what they described as a thoughtful gesture. They also offered prayers for her continued success in her role as Women’s Organizer.

They noted that the donation reflects the strong bond between the Upper East Regional Women’s Organizer and the Muslim community, emphasizing that the gesture demonstrates genuine care and commitment to the welfare of the people during this sacred time.

As the Ramadan season continues, beneficiaries said the impact of the gesture will be felt in homes and mosques across the community, reminding people of the strength found in unity and shared humanity.

The Muslim women also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late District Chief Executive, asking Allah to grant him eternal rest.
