The Managing Director of Kacstone Records, Mr. Aborah Wenawome, has donated an amount of Ghc5,000 to Navrongo-based Liberty Stars FC to motivate the team in their participation in the ongoing Upper East Regional Football Association Division Two Middle League.
Mr. Aborah, a key figure in the entertainment industry based in the Kassena-Nankana West District, made the donation in support of the team’s impressive performance.
Navrongo Liberty Stars FC defied the odds by winning their zone. The team gained promotion from Division Three to Division Two unbeaten and delivered a remarkable performance, overcoming teams such as Paga Crocodile Stars and Mission Warriors to emerge as zone winners.
The donation is expected to support the team’s preparations for the ongoing Middle League as they aim to secure qualification to the National Division One League.
The team’s bankroller, Cherry Azanlerigu Mboma, popularly known as “Town Puller,” welcomed the gesture and expressed gratitude to Mr. Aborah for recognising the club.
He said the donation would go a long way in boosting morale in camp ahead of the remaining matches.
