The Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency, Charles Bawadua, has donated 2,100 mathematical sets and pens to 2,064 candidates preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The items will benefit candidates from both public and private schools across the district.

Speaking at the presentation, Mr. Bawadua said education remains a priority and urged students to use the materials effectively as they prepare for their exams.

He cautioned candidates against examination malpractice and encouraged them to approach the exams with discipline and integrity.

The District Chief Executive for Bongo, Diana Ayamga Asoketarige, commended the initiative and advised candidates to remain calm, follow examination rules, and respect supervisors during the examination period.

The District Director of Education, who received the items on behalf of the students, thanked the MP for the support and said the materials would be distributed to beneficiaries.

The donation forms part of efforts to support candidates and improve educational outcomes in the constituency.
