The District Chief Executive for Bolgatanga East, Jacob Abugre Aka-Eri, says the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has committed GHS150 million towards expanding the district’s road network and improving the condition of existing roads.

Speaking on Bolga FM’s Tinmaalgo Sanga programme, Mr. Aka-Eri said the investment forms part of broader efforts to improve transportation, enhance access to communities, and support socio-economic development across the district.

According to the DCE, the road projects are expected to address challenges associated with poor road conditions, particularly in rural communities, while facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services.

He said improving the road network would boost economic activity, support local businesses, and improve access to essential services such as healthcare and education.

Mr. Aka-Eri commended Dr. Ayine for his continued commitment to the development of Bolgatanga East and expressed confidence that the planned road projects would have a lasting impact on residents.

He further assured residents that the Assembly would continue to work closely with the Member of Parliament and other stakeholders to deliver development projects that improve livelihoods across the district.

Residents have welcomed the announcement and expressed optimism that the investment will bring relief to communities affected by poor road conditions and limited accessibility.
