A1 radio some few weeks ago through its evening entertainment program SunSet Drive introduced the throwback Thursday, a new dimension of the late afternoon urban radio show to be aired on Thursdays.
Lexis and Dj Phatbone, hosts of the station’s evening drive time show, said the new trigger of bringing back great tunes of old was to give listeners the opportunity to enjoy tunes that were favorites in the past years.
“We decided to introduce the #throwback Thursday on Thursdays to give our listeners the opportunity to enjoy tunes that once made waves in the entertainment circles and it cuts across all musical genre.”
Since the introduction of the #throwback Thursday, it has gained grounds and increased the listener-ship base of the Sunset Drive on Thursdays.
