The New Patriotic Party (NPP), is expected to hold an extraordinary conference at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi on December 17.
The Conference is a follow up to the Cape Coast conference held earlier in August where various proposals were made for amendments to the party’s constitution.
Over 5,000 delegates including founding fathers and patrons of the party, New Patriotic Party Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies(MMDCEs) and party officials are expected at the conference scheduled for Sunday.
The agenda for the conference is to deliberate, consider and adopt a draft constitutional amendment for the party, officials say.
The conference is in pursuance to Article 9(A)(5) of the NPP constitution.
