The Government of Ghana has discontinued the implementation of the mandatory towing levy which was scheduled to have commenced in July.
An announcement by the National Road and Safety Commission (NRSC) of the implementation of the law was met with public outcry and calls for review of some parts of the law.
A statement from the government said after several consultations with the Minister of Transport and other stakeholders in the transport sector, government has decided not to implement law.
