The Progressive people’s Party (PPP) will hold its fourth national convention at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region on Saturday October 21, 2017.
The convention which is under the theme “Election of MMDCEs for Rapid National Development” will see in attendance members of the esteemed party and its executives as well as executives of other political parties.
Speaking to A1 Radio News, George Afari who is the Chairman of the Local Planning Committee indicated that the party hopes to, on the eve of the convention, hold a session on the proposed local government election and to map out plans for all levels of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly elections in 2018 and beyond, and to review their strategies for election 2020.
He indicated that the party expects that the party by the close of the convention, a clear message would have been sent to Ghanaians and the international community that they are a credible alternative to the NPP in the 2020 general elections.
