Broadcast Journalist, Samuel Mbura has joined Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio from Tanga Radio.

The broadcaster is expected to handle the station’s flagship programme, Daybreak Upper East. He expected to improve upon the current standard and to ensure that the programme becomes the toast of the masses in the Upper East region.

Speaking to a1radioonlie.com, Mbura who is known for his love for the Upper East region and rural reporting indicated that he intends to provide listeners with almost 80% local content.

He said “listeners should expect more of development and locally based issues to be raised and duty bearers drawn into those discussions for them to be addressed.

Mbura added that “It is also my expectation that the already existing standards of the show would be elevated for matured communication in order to educate, inform and entertain the populace”.

Mbura is expected to officially start work on Monday. He joins a team of dynamic young men and women who are working tirelessly to change the evolving face of media in the Upper East region and the Northern part of the country.
