Songstress Noella Wiyala has said she is not aware of the Northern Youth for Peace and Development awards which has been publicized in the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga.
There are several billboards in the Upper East regional capital publicizing the Northern Youth for Peace and Development awards which seeks to award personalities who have distinguished themselves in their differing endeavors.
The programme will according to organizers award over 20,000 youth, Chiefs, women, men and farmers.
But in a post on Facebook, Wiyala said she is not aware of the programme because she has never been contacted by organisers of the award.
She asked her fans in the Upper East region to forgive her if she is not seen at the event because organisers never booked her for the show.
She posted “I’m not aware of this programme. We were never contacted. To all my fans in Bolga, if you don’t see me, I hope you will understand. #Peace“
