Tongraan Donates Furniture to Christ the King Kindergarten to Enhance Teaching and Learning

The overlord of Talensi traditional area, Tongraan Kugbilsong Nalebegtang and his family have donated over 80 pieces of furniture worth of Ghc 25,200 to Christ the King Kindergarten School in Winkogo.

The donation was done by his wife Josephine Mosore who doubles as the Talensi District Director of Education.

Speaking after the donation, Josephine Mosore said her husband admits he is a major stakeholder in Education and has a responsibility of contributing his quota towards education in the area.

The Talensi District Chief Executive, Christopher Boatbil Someteima who was present at the event was very impressed with the wonderful leadership shown by Tongraan and his family.

He was very optimistic that the furniture donated by the overlord of Talensi will go a long way in supporting teaching and learning in Christ the King Kindergarten School.

The District Chief Executive in his address indicated that with the policy of One Million Dollar per Constituency, the Talensi District will benefit over 2000 pieces of furniture for the various schools in the District.

He, however, used the opportunity to call on other benevolent citizens and organizations to emulate the family of the overlord of Talensi traditional area.

FURNITURES

On his part, Secretary of the Talensi traditional council, Richard Sunday Yinbil who represented the paramount chief said they have gone round, observed and received reports and realized that education today is the backbone of the country future.

According to him, even though the donation was for just one school, he thinks it will go a long way to enhance teaching and learning.

He used the opportunity to call on all teachers to take good care of the pupils because they are the country’s future.

Richard Sunday indicated that  the overlord of Talensi traditional area Tongoraan Kugbilsong Nalebegtang has a lot of interest in education and has promised to ensure that the people of the Talensi Traditional area are provided with topnotch education.
