Biblionef Ghana in Colloboration with Lions Club International Foundation and Lion Club Accra have linked up with Center for Sustainable Rural Development Bolgatanga to establish school libraries in basic schools within the Bolgatanga West ‘B’ circuit aside a donation of 365 books and cardboards to each of 20 basic schools within that area.
This was revealed during the launch of a three year project by the Center for Sustainable Rural Development in Sumbrungu.
Speaking at the launch of the project, Founder of Center for Sustainable Rural Development, Rex Asanga said his outfit was commited to improving educational standards in the upper east and called for a collective effort to successfully address the associated challenges in the education sector.
Director, of Biblionef Ghana, Mrs. Patricia Arthur has expressed optimism that the three year project will go a long way in improving teaching, reading and learning among the school children in the area.
Meanwhile a member of Lions club from Netherlands Slochteren Miss. Wia Huijsmans in her speech said, organizing training for teachers to promote reading among children was her passion hence she would be ready to lend her support to the realization of improved literature knowledge.
