Charles Nii Armah Mensah known popularly in the showbiz industry as Shatta Wale has disclosed that he gave some warning shots in his house to fend off thieves who come around to steal from cars belonging to his friends.
A video circulating on the internet has the Dancehall King shooting from his residence. Several individuals including celebrated broadcaster and media guru, Bola Ray and Kwame Sefa Kayi have condemned the act by the ‘kakai’ hitmaker.
But in a Facebook Livestream to address the issue, Shatta Wale indicated that he shot to scare of thieves who had intentions of coming to the area to steal from the cars of his friends who had parked their cars outside of his house.
Shatta Wale said” I didn’t just shoot because I felt like shooting. Usually when my friends come and they park outside, some thieves come in to steal from their cars so I shot in order to fend them off and make them aware of the fact that if they tried anything funny we have guns to shoot them”.
He indicated that the video circulating on social media has been edited by some bloggers in order to suit their purpose of tarnishing his hard earned reputation.
Shatta Wale used the opportunity to call on Ghanaians to support the Ghanaian artiste in order for them to grow.
