Controversial musician turned politician, Kwame A Plus is pushing for the sack of the Sanitation Minister, Joseph Kofi Addah for what he describes as gross incompetence.
The Sanitation Ministry was set up by the Nana Akufo-Addo led government to address issues of sanitation and to rid Ghana off filth that has engulfed most areas of the country.
But Kwame A Plus has observed that although there is a Ministry in Charge of this purpose, the street of the nation’s capital, Accra is engulfed with filth.
According to him, city authorities sit unconcerned whiles “men with tricycles (aboboyaa) are dumping refuse along the motorway but Nothing is being done about it. Kaneshie and most major market where food is sold to human beings to eat are worse!!! The sad part is that we have a sanitation ministry and a minister who is being paid with tax payers money. Something the NDC didn’t have”.
He noted that fighting issues with regards to poor sanitation is at one of the topmost priorities of the President and there is the need to involve people who will walk the talk rather than people who will just talk but cannot execute their duties.
Keeping Ghana clean is one of H.E the President’s prorities. He can not do it himself. That is why he set up a whole ministry to take care of that. However what I know he can do is to sack “incompetent” persons in his government!!! We have to be “in a hurry” to appoint persons who walk the talk. Enough of the talk. It’s time for action.
