Songstress, Efya has said the perception that managers of female artistes in the country should have a sexual relationship with managers before they are able to work to produce the best output is ridiculous and should not be encouraged.
Artiste manager, Bulldog in an interview weeks ago indicated that to achieve success as a manager of a female artiste, there is the need to engage in sexual relationship with the artiste.
But speaking to A1 Radio’s Kofi Asante, Efya indicated that the perception is ridiculous and must not be encouraged.
She said emotions need to be separated from business in order to achieve business success and therefore she does not see why managers of female artistes will want to be in a relationship with their artistes.
“I think it’s ridiculous for an artiste manager to say that. It is ridiculous for him to suggest this,” she told Kofi Asante.
Efya also indicated that her widely popularised contract with Wizkid was not a record deal but rather an affiliation to help push her music worldwide.
