The Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Bukari has asked for a change in attitude towards work as a new year has been ushered in.

According to him, attitudinal change will set the region on a path to progress and provide it with the needed development.

“As we usher in the New Year 2018 with greater hope and determination, I wish to remind us of the need for new mindsets, attitudes and ways of doing things in the coming year. Let us do away with tendencies that have the potential to hold back our progress as a region and country. We should let the year witness improved attitudes to work and the exercise of greater responsibilities in our homes and communities.”

The Minister indicated that the President has built a solid foundation in his first year as President and was optimistic that employment opportunities will be provided for the teeming youth of the region

“Indeed, there are brighter days ahead in Ghana and 2018 promises to be one. More job opportunities will be created under the Nation Builders’ Corps (NBC), Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), among a host of others. Ghana will work better in the New Year as every municipality and district gets $1million to implement its own determined priorities.”

UPPER EAST REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL, BOLGATANGA
NEW YEAR MESSAGE BY REGIONAL MINISTER
DECEMBER 31, 2017
I wish to congratulate all the good people of Upper East Region for successful Christmas celebrations and the end of the year 2017. Our unity of purpose as a people made all the difference for a peaceful festivity. God has been the ultimate source of all good things and successes we have achieved as a region in 2017 and we ought to continue to give Him praises and adoration.
As we usher in the New Year 2018 with greater hope and determination, I wish to remind us of the need for new mindsets, attitudes and ways of doing things in the coming year. Let us do away with tendencies that have the potential to hold back our progress as a region and country. We should let the year witness improved attitudes to work and the exercise of greater responsibilities in our homes and communities.
The President of Ghana, His Excellency, Nana Akuffo Addo has called on all people of Ghana to be active citizens by exercising our civic responsibilities to move the nation forward. He has also called for speed and hurry in our quest to tackle the many challenges his government has inherited. All these buttress the need for radical changes in actions and thoughts to move Ghana to the next level.
Indeed, there are brighter days ahead in Ghana and 2018 promises to be one. More job opportunities will be created under the Nation Builders’ Corps (NBC), Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), among a host of others. Ghana will work better in the New Year as every municipality and district gets $1million to implement its own determined priorities.
In the hope of these brighter days ahead in our nation’s history, I wish the chiefs, religious and opinion leaders and all people of Upper East Region, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
