A former Minister of Communication under the John Dramani Mahama led administration, Omane Boamah has chided the Akufo-Addo led administration for looking on helplessly as political vigilante groups in the New Patriotic Party take the laws of the country into their own hands.

In a post marking a year since John Dramni Mahama handed over power to the Akufo-Addo, the former Communications Minister indicated that although Political vigilantism has reared its ugly head into the political system of the country, the Akufo-Addo led administration is sitting unconcerned.

He said, “One year on, NPP’s partisan vigilantism has exerted its ugly footprints on the political map of Ghana whiles Government looks on helplessly”.

The former Communications Minister indicated that “One year on, Free SHS for All has become ‘Beggar-Thy-Neighbour’ Free SHS for a few, and congestion in schools is causing serious morbidities and mortalities”.

He asked that “Mr President, as we observe 25 years of the 4th Republic, please put your feet down, for the ship of state is sinking”.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has indicated that the NPP administration was challenged by political vigilantism because there are no jobs but promised that he has laid the foundation for the creation of more jobs in his second year as President.
