Trial of “NCA five” starts on January 16

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Gloria Akuffo has indicated that the Court sitting on the case between the state and the NCA five will sit twice in a week.

The former Chairman of the National Communications Authority, Eugene Baffoe – Bonnie and four others are standing trial for causing financial loss to the country.

Speaking to the media after court proceedings, the Minister of Justice disclosed that the court has decided to sit on the case for twice a week although they pushed for five days for the sitting.

She indicated that the court decided on the two days because one of the accused persons would be attending hospital thrice a week due to bad health.

The full trial of the case of willfully causing financial loss to the state brought against former board chairman of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Eugene Baffoe – Bonnie and four others will begin from January 16, 2018 before an Accra Commercial High Court presided over by Justice Eric Kyei Baffour.
