The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has described the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump as a Diplomatic Canon.
This comes on the back of the of the President describing Africa and other places as “shitholes”.
Isaac Adongo who was speaking to Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio in an interview said “We all know that Donald Trump is a Diplomatic Canon and someone who does not understand diplomacy. In a very normal society, Donald Trump should not and cannot become a Mayor and not to talk of a President but that is America for you, America believes in diversity and therefore the interest of America is to have someone in office who at that particular time they believe in but Donald Trump have proven to be a wrong choice for America”.
He indicated that when Parliament reconvenes, Parliament may call the Foreign Affairs Minister to brief the house on the position of the government beyond the Presiden’s tweet condemning it.
Meanwhile, the President of Ghana has condemned the comments by the American leader and have said the continent and others denigrated by Trump will not accept insults from him regardless of the powers he wields as the American leader.
