The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is currently being taken through medical tests as he took ill in the early hours of today, Friday January 19, 2018.
A statement from the Presidency revealing the health status of the Vice President said: “The Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the early hours of Friday, 19th January, 2018, reported feeling unwell”.
The statement further said “He was attended to by his doctors, and is currently undergoing medical tests and observation. Any further information will be duly communicated”.
Although it’s unclear why the Presidency put out the health status of the Vice President, the New Patriotic Party government wants to adopt what is done in developed countries.
