Former Black Stars Captain, Stephen Appiah has said he has no intentions of joining Politics in Ghana in the future.

George Oppong Weah rose from being a footballer to the President of Liberia. The feat achieved by Oppong Weah according to many should be emulated by other football legends in their various countries.

But the former Captain of Ghana Black Stars in an interview said he has no plans to join politics in Ghana although the story of Oppong Weah motivates him to do more for himself.

He said “No, I’ve never thought of having any Political ambition. I’m happy with what I’m doing today. George Weah is very lucky for what he went through to be where he is today. We are very good friends and we talk on the phone often and at least some of us know what he went through. He becoming a President has opened a way not for only footballers because when you read the story of George Weah it will teach you to have an enduring spirit. I don’t have to be President and I don’t have to join politics”.
