Amidu faces Parliament’s Appointments Committee on February 13

Parliament’s Appointments Committee has scheduled February 13 as the day for vetting President’s nominee for the position of Special Prosecutor.

Martin Amidu was nominated by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s first Independent  Special Prosecutor.

His nomination has been touted as one of the best nominations under the fourth republic considering the fact that he is a leading member of the country’s biggest opposition, National Democratic Congress.

Martin Amidu has won the admiration of many for his desire to fight corruption regardless of who is involved and this has earned him the accolade, “Citizen Vigilante”.
