A1 Radio’s much publicized Independence Day Quiz took place on March 6.
The quiz competition which is meant to educate the public on the country’s history saw four schools competing for glory and trophy.
Schools that participated in this year’s quiz included the defending champions, Mount Sinai Educational Complex, Central Lyceum, Presentation Brothers and Grace Valley Academy.
Mount Sinai Educational Complex could not defend their title as Central Educational Foundation beat them to lift the trophy on the day.
Mount Sinai Educational Complex came second whiles Grace Valley and Presentation Brothers JHS came third and fourth respectively.
Events and Promotions Executive for A1 Radio, Sampson Wunia in an interview with A1 Radio indicated that “the event once again has been successful. He, however, called on corporate Ghana to help assist such initiatives in order to boost the interest of the pupils and the entire public in studying the history of the country”.
