Highlife artiste, Kumi Guitar has said until Highlife music is given the needed attention in Ghana, he will not stop begging the media and other stakeholders in the music industry in Ghana.
According to him, currently, the genre is not given the needed attention and that is killing highlife music which is the soul of the country.
“Other genres are getting the needed attention but Highlife which is the soul of the country has less attention and that makes it look like I am not pulling my weight. I;m doing very well and with the little push, I believe I and other highlife artistes will do well. I will continue to plead with the people who have the platform to make highlife a priority,” he told a1 radio’s Kofi Asante.
Kumi Guitar indicated that he is working for the world to recognise that Highlife is not for the Nigerians but for Ghanaians.
The highlife artiste mentioned that he has never regretted joining Zylofon Media but was quick to add that although he enjoying being part of the story, he is working hard to ensure that the money invested in him will be recouped with interest.
