Vicar General of Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese, Reverend Father Gabriel Atidoo believes the fight against corruption in the country can never be achieved.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in fulfillment of a campaign promise established the office of a Special Prosecutor to fight corruption in the country.

But Rev. Ft. Atidoo is certain that corruption which he says has eaten deep into the fabrics of Ghanaians cannot be curtailed.

Rev. Ft. Atidoo added that President Akufo-Addo’s desire to fight corruption cannot be achieved even within in his own party, the NPP, let alone the entire country.

“We are all throwing our hands up in the air because even I myself know that, corruption, the way it is endemic, even if the president says that he is going to stop it, we know that he cannot stop it even in his own house, even in his own party”

He said this during the launch of a programme dubbed ‘a clean environment in corruption-free society’ held in Bolgatanga by the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.
