The Headmistress of Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO), Francisca Yizura Amoak Afoko, has passed on, after a short illness. She passed on on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Some persons closer to her, said, they were surprised at the news of her demise, and were deeply hurt.

Before her demise, Mrs. Francisca Yizura Amoak Afoko served as the National Vice-Chair of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) and was very vocal in complaining about the delays in the release of Boarding Grants of Schools in the Upper East Region. She was also a Board Member of Afrikids, a Bolgatanga based Child Oriented NGO.

A brief statement released by the family hinted that, measures are underway to fix a date for the burial and funeral rites for the last Headmistress of Navrongo Senior High School.

Until her demise, Mrs. Francisca Yizura Amoak Afoko was Noble Lady of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall Court 31.

She will he missed for her contribution to the Education Sector of the Upper East region.
