As part of socialization with their customers and stakeholders, MTN Ghana has organized what the company calls “Yello Soiree” for it stakeholders selected from the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions.

Addressing the stakeholders at the Yello Soiree held at the Northern Regional capital, Tamale, MTN Ghana Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Selorm Adadevoh assured stakeholders of an improved services and value for money.

“We also want to share with you some of the improvement and growth we have seen with your service, with your loyalty that has helped us to continue to grow and invest in the business in this part of Ghana. So we have in this region over 1.3 million customers on the MTN network. Thanks to you.” He said.

However, Mr Adadevoh also acknowledged the level of patronage MTN receives from the three regions in the Northern part of Ghana.

According him, MTN has over 1.3 million customers in the Northern Region and out of the 1.3 million customers, over 10,000 customers subscribed to the company’s Initial Public Offer (IPO) and over 6700 mobile money agent across Northern Region.

“In the last 12 months, we have grown our market share by 25 percent and currently have about 54 percent market share in this region and again something that we are very proud about. We hope that, we will continue to serve you well, so that we can grow you and your family and friends. But that is not all, almost 10 years ago since we had mobile money service and today, we have over 6700 mobile money agents in this region that will continue to provide livelihood to their friends and families. As always, as we continue to grow, we see the best ways in which we will continue to deliver the best services. Am sure you are all aware, that is recent we closed IPO which was historic, and historic here means that, the first time in the history of Ghana we have more than 10,000 customers subscribe a single IPO. But, we didn’t have 10,000 customers, we didn’t have 50,000 shareholders, we didn’t have 100,000 shareholders, we have 128,000 shareholders participating in IPO’s Ghana. That means we have about 127,000 Ghanaians and about 110,000 that participated through mobile money and this is a great historical thing for us.” He explained

However, he is satisfied that celebrating the Yello Soiree for the first time in the Northern Region will sustain the relationship between stakeholders and MTN as a leading telecommunication network.
