The Dance-hall diva, AK Songstress says most up and coming musicians do better music than those who claimed they are already at the top in the Music industry in Ghana.
Speaking on A1-Radio in Bolgatanga, the Self-Styled Queen of Dance-hall said as far as quality music is concern, most musicians and music lovers in the country often prefer to listen to young talented musicians’ music than the noises that some greedy musicians do every day with the claims that they are already Kings in the Music industry.
The Self-Styled Queen thinks that, the Music industry in Ghana has been designed in such a way that, those who are already at the top will never give the up and coming artists chance to also make it to where they are.
“… yeah, the Music industry in the country is designed in such a way that, few artists are kept at the top and the industry keeps on recycling same people as far as the Industry makes money from them, meanwhile, directly or indirectly they barely sing good songs, if not noises they make day in and day out.” She said.
Commenting on beefing among artists in the Music industry, she thinks beefing among artists is interesting because it helps artists to sell their music, but “it only gets ugly or unhealthy when personal matters sometimes pop in”.
She however said her style of music is to advise, educate and sell the culture of Ghana to the whole world. Her new song titled “Operation Feed Yourself” is an advice to women out there, to be independent and thoughtful about men.
